Andrew Vardy

Andrew Vardy is an Associate Professor of Computer Science and Computer Engineering at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, Canada. His research interests include biologically-inspired robotics, swarm robotics, and navigation. In general, he studies simple mechanisms for robot autonomy. Current projects include distributed object sorting, terrain reshaping for underwater construction, and route following by autonomous underwater vehicles. Andrew is a proud owner of a Newfoundland / Labrador cross named Bruno who provided inspiration, as well as the use of his name, for ‘Bruno Wins.’
