Heba Khamis

Heba Khamis is a writer, journalist and photographer focusing on oft-overlooked social issues. In 2017 she participated in World Press Photo Foundation’s Joop Swart Masterclass, was awarded with PH Museum’s 'Women Photographers Grant' and received an Ian Parry Award. Her first collection of short stories, From a Window Overlooking the Square (2011) won the Culture Palace Central Prize and her follow-up collection, Zar won the 2019 Sawiris Cultural Prize.
