Professor Robert Stickgold
is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. A preeminent sleep researcher, he has dedicated his life to understanding the relationship between sleep and learning. Having worked with the prominent sleep researcher J. Allan Hobson for many years, he has been a proponent of the role of sleep in memory consolidation. His research has focused on sleep and cognition, dreaming, and conscious states. He is also the author of two novels Gloryhits
(1978) and The California Coven Project
(1981), both published by Del Ray.
