Sarah Gilbert

Sarah is a Professor of Vaccinology, Jenner Institute, at the University of Oxford. She studied at the University of East Anglia and University of Hull, and worked for a biotechnology company prior to moving to Oxford University in 1994. She leads the Jenner Institute Influenza vaccine programme and also works on the development of new vaccines to prevent malaria. This entails organising clinical trials with volunteers to test both malaria and influenza vaccines.
