The Pilot ProjectStory Bank was a scheme Comma developed between 2006 and 2008 to explore alternative ways of enjoying short fiction and poetry, as read and intended by the authors themselves. Below are 73 tasters from across Comma's various publications - a selection of readings by the authors themselves intended as a growing archive of spoken word downloads.
Click on the item you'd like to listen to, and your computer's default media player should start to download and play at the same time (you may need to configure Windows Media Player or your media player by using 'options' to automatically open mp3 files). Alternatively, you can right-click and select 'Save Target As' which will download the file onto your hard drive. Please note copyright restrictions below.
Copyright (c) in all cases remains with the authors and Comma Press.
If you've enjoyed this free service, we would appreciate any feedback you can give: requests for more stories by a certain writer; comments about the stories you've listened to (your favourites, your least favourites); requests for more types or genres of work. Any comment at all, please email them to commapress[at]yahoo.co.uk.
You can also watch some of the pieces as films by visiting Comma Film.
