About the event

In association with Comma Press, WORDTheatre presents BLACK/WHITE, with authors Kamila Shamsie & Kit de Waal

This is a WordTheatreUK Story Event benefitting W.I.T.S. (WordTheatre in the Schools).

Actors Alastair Mackenzie (Deep Water, Monarch of the Glen) and Danny Sapani (Black Panther, Penny Dreadful), and Okezie Morro ( The Mist, The Nevers, Silent Witness)  will give voice to deeply moving stories from our Protest and Resist anthologies. Singer / songwriter, Jessica Wilde will also be in attendance with Paul Cook on piano.

WORDTheatre is a non-profit organization comprised of artists who are passionate about the value of literature to tell stories that awaken us to our humanity and to the complexities we — of various races, nationalities, ages, and backgrounds — face. They champion writers who are bold enough to take on issues that are relevant and real to us now and invite actors to read those tales live.

In the US and the UK, short stories are brought to life by esteemed actors in directed readings with the writers present for post-performance Q & As and book signings.

Tickets and information on the venue are available to view on the WordTheatre website here.
