National Creative Writing Graduate Fair 2017

3 Nov 2017

The National Creative Writing Graduate Fair is back!

Join us and The Writing School at MMU for our annual event for creative writers of all disciplines.

Now in its third year, the NCWGF is the writing fair designed to bring the industry's best agents, publishers and authors to writers based in the North of England and beyond. The best value fair of its kind, the day will feature:

- A key note speech from debut novelist (4th Estate) and poet, Luke Kennard.

- Panels discussions with agents, editors, authors and booksellers on topics like 'New Opportunities for Writers in the Digital Age', 'Journeys to Publication' and 'How to Hook Agents, Publishers and Readers'

- Focused break-away sessions on topics like writing for young adults, setting up a writing group, and marketing and self promotion

- Individually matched pitching sessions with two agents or editors, based on your chosen genre of writing

The full line up of talks, workshops and participants is available on the website (see below).

Tickets are £40/£35 when bought as a group of 5.

We are also offering a select number of reduced price places to writers who otherwise might not be able to attend, for example those on means tested benefits and grants. If you'd like to apply for one of these places, please contact becky.harrison@commapress.co.uk for more information. These places will be allocated one week before bookings close, on Friday 27th October, so please register your interest before then.

Find out more information, and watch specially recorded content from last year's fair - including interviews with agents, and a keynote speech by Kit de Waal - on www.ncwgradfair.weebly.co.uk.
