The Bluecoat, School Lane, Liverpool L1 3BX

Palestine + 100 poses a question to contemporary Palestinian writers: what might your home city look like in the year 2048 – exactly 100 years after Nakba, the displacement of more than 700,000 people?

With stories read by British Palestinian writer, Selma Dabbagh and Palestinian-Hungarian novelist, poet and author, Anwar Hamed, this event launches a new anthology designed as an escape from the politics of the present in a country that some have called ‘the largest prison in the world’, and is an opportunity to showcase the wealth of talent amongst contemporary Palestinian writers as they offer their own spin on the science fiction and fantasy genre.

Reading and discussion followed by Q&A.
