Theme: Birmingham & Leeds: A Tale of Two Cities.
Ra Page (COMMA PRESS) chair.
With authors,  C.D. Rose (The Book of Birmingham) & Ian Duhig (The Book of Leeds).

Part of the
BOOKBLAST® 10×10 TOUR, in association with Waterstones, which will visit nine regions of England, celebrating risk-taking publishers who fill a unique niche in discovering talent, connecting London and the regions. The tour launches in Waterstones Gower Street, located in the heart of Bloomsbury, London, followed by a series of themed talks, each one chaired by a small independent publisher, held in flagship regional branches of Waterstones over 9 weeks. It promises to be a hugely exhilarating celebration of the most electrifying prose and poetry being created today.

Our leg of the tour will take place at Waterstones Leeds, where Ian Duhig, who contributed to one of our first Reading the City books (The Book of Leeds) will be in conversation with C.D. Rose, who is one of the contributors to the latest collection in the series, The Book of Birmingham. Both will discuss the cities that inspired their stories, and how they have changed in the time they have known them, urban writing and short story writing more generally. The event will be chaired by Comma's own Ra Page.
