Ahmed al-Malik

Ahmed al-Malik was born in the Nubian town Argo, in the north of Sudan. His first novel, The Musical Group, was published in 1991 and he has since written four more novels. His most recent novel, Seven Strangers in the City, was published in 2014. He has also published collections of stories, including The Sixth Death of Old Man Manoufal (2001) and Nura with the Braids (2006). He currently lives in the Netherlands.
