Ahmed Fakharany

Born in Alexandria in 1981, Ahmed Fakharany worked at Shorouk and el-Badil newspapers, before establishing himself as a novelist. His fourth novel Bayaset Al-Shawam (Syrian Square) won the 2021 Sawiris Foundation Award in the novels/emerging writers category.
