Alan Yentob

Alan Yentob is a British television executive and presenter. He joined the BBC as a trainee in the BBC World Service in 1968 as its only non-Oxbridge graduate of that year. Nine months later he moved into TV to become an Assistant Director on arts programmes. Since then, Alan has been Head of Music and Arts, Director of Drama and Creative Director of the BBC. He fronts the regular arts show, Imagine, and is a patron of the Shakespeare Schools Festival.
