Alireza Abiz

Alireza Abiz is a multi-award winning Iranian poet, translator, and scholar with a PhD in Creative Writing from Newcastle University. He has published six poetry collections in Persian, translated several major poets into Persian, and authored a key study on censorship in post-revolutionary Iran. Translations of his own work have appeared in more than a dozen languages. A selection of his poetry in English translations, The Kindly Interrogator was published by Shearsman in 2021. Based in London, he co-founded MAHA, edits literary podcasts, and serves on the Poetry Translation Centre's board.
