Azza Sultan
Azza Sultan is an author and screenwriter. She graduated from the Faculty of Arts, Department of Libraries, studied a diploma in Folklore Documentation Methods and is preparing to obtain a master's degree in Heritage Documentation Methods. Sultan writes short stories, novels, and criticism, as well as articles and children's stories. She has published six short story collections, including Just Like in the Movies and The Man Who Climbs to the Tenth Floor. She is also the author of the novel Exercises in Cruelty and about fifteen collections of children's stories and YA novels. She writes social articles on several websites and has published To Love a Married Man and Why Marriage is a Failed Project. Sultan works as a screenwriter and researcher and has written scripts for more than 30 documentaries and several short films. She has received the Abdel Hay Adib Award for Screenwriting from the Alexandria International Film Festival, the first prize in Film Criticism from the General Authority for Cultural Palaces, and the first prize in Literary Criticism from the General Authority for Cultural Palaces.
