Becky Cherriman
Becky Cherriman is a Yorkshire-based writer, educator, performer and facilitator. She is the author of a poetry pamphlet, Echolocation (Mother’s Milk), and a collection, Empires of Clay (Cinnamon Press). Her work has been named in the Women’s Poetry and Women’s Poets’ Competition, Fish Short Story Prize, Ilkley Literature Festival Open Mic, and the Forward Prize. Since 2003, she has creatively collaborated with communities, individuals and artists, including nine years of co-leading the Ilkley Young Writers and Bradford Young Writers groups. She is currently writing memoir with support from an Arts Council England Developing Your Creative Practice grant, and is Writer-in-Residence for the Methodist Modern Art Collection as part of Bradford 2025.
