Carlos Acosta CBE

Carlos Acosta CBE is an internationally acclaimed dancer, choreographer and Artistic Director, and former Principal Dancer of The Royal Ballet. Born in Havana, he trained at Cuba’s National Ballet School before performing with leading companies worldwide, including American Ballet Theatre and Paris Opera Ballet. Since 2020 he has been Director of Birmingham Royal Ballet and is also Founder of Acosta Danza. He was awarded a CBE in 2014 and has received numerous honours for his contribution to dance and the arts.
