Dannie Abse

Considered one of the most important Welsh writers of the past century, Abse was born in Cardiff, Wales, to non-Welsh-speaking parents. He studied Medicine at Cardiff, King’s College and Westminster Hospital. A poet, novelist, playwright, he has also published diaries and autobiography. He published sixteen volumes of poetry including a Collected Poems.
