Emad El-Din Aysha

Emad El-Din Aysha is an academic, journalist and translator, currently stationed in Cairo, Egypt. He was born in the United Kingdom and is a native speaker of both English and Arabic. He received his BA in economics and philosophy and his MA and PhD in international studies at the University of Sheffield in the UK. He has taught topics ranging from international politics to Arab society at universities in Egypt. He’s a regular commentator on Middle East politics and a great lover of history and science fiction. He’s a film reviewer and political columnist for the Egyptian Gazette and Egyptian Mail as well as a translator of short Arabic fiction.
