Heba Khamis

Heba Khamis (1987-) is a journalist, writer, and creative writing tutor specialising in short fiction. Her first collection of short stories, From a Window Overlooking the Square (2011) won the Culture Palace Central Prize and her follow-up collection, Zar won the 2019 Sawiris Cultural Prize. Her 2023 novel, American Residences was also shortlised for the same prize.
