Lisa Luxx
Lisa Minerva Luxx is a poet, short story writer, playwright and political activist of British Syrian heritage. Their poetry and essays are published worldwide in anthologies and literary journals. Their plays include Eating the Copple Apple, what the dog said to the harvest and The Moon is Listening from Dawn till Dusk. Their debut book Fetch Your Mother’s Heart is out now through Out-Spoken Press. They have previously written fiction for Comma Press on issues ranging from the impact austerity on single-mother relationships and growing up in care (in anthologies such as The Cuckoo Cage and Collision: Stories from the Science of CERN). Their collection, Mona the Animal, will be released by Comma in Spring 2027. Luxx guest lectures on revolutionary poetics and queer theory, and works as a lyricist with LA-based Maison Arts. They are also a long-time transnational community organiser, having co-founded both eLaa Beirut and Nehna Hone. They believe in mutual aid and direct action as means of liberation.
