Lucia Piussi

Lucia Piussi (1971) is a singer, lyricist and writer. A film and TV script writing graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, she made her name as an actor in Stoka (The Sewer), an independent theatre company founded in 1991 by the legendary director Blaho Uhlár. From 1994 to 2021 she was a member of the indie-rock band Živé kvety associated with the Stoka theatre and currently fronts the band Terrible 2s. Piussi’s two books of prose, the novel Láska je sliepka (2011, Love Is A Chicken) and the short story collection Život je krátky (2021, Life is Short), are set in the independent art scene in Bratislava at the turn of the millennium.
