Paul Kaye 

Paul Kaye was born in Bolton in the UK. After studying biology and French at university he moved to Bratislava shortly after the break-up of Czechoslovakia. While teaching English he began picking up the local language and later moved into radio journalism and translation. After nearly four years he returned to the UK to study environmental policy, then worked for a decade as a policy journalist, mainly in Brussels, where he still lives, now working as a translator for the European Union, into English from Slovak and other languages.
