Salma Bani

Salma Bani was born in 1962 in Dhaka. Her writing career started with Nindito Uttoron (2000), a novel about immigrant life. She added new dimensions to Bengali novels through her epic narrative on slum life, Vangari (2004). Her other novels include Golapi Manzil (2012), Porishorer Mapjok (2013), She received the Kagoj Tarun Sahitya Puroshkar 2003 for her short story collection Boba Shomoy O Neel Uppakkhyan.
