Veronika Bendová
Veronika Bendová (born 1974) has spent her whole life in Prague, where she is the mother of five. She studied film screenwriting and dramaturgy at the city’s FAMU film academy. She made her literary debut in 2012 with the novel Nonstop Eufrat, which has been translated into Spanish. She followed this in 2019 with Vytěženej kraj (A Depleted Land), which was shortlisted for the Magnesia Litera Award (prose category). She is currently editor at the Twentieth Century Memorial Museum.
