New Words Festival - Creative Writing Workshop with Sarah Schofield (Wirral Libraries)

Do you enjoy creative writing? Is playing with words – writing poems, stories or memoir – something you’d like to try? Time to Read and Wirral Libraries invite you to join writer, Sarah Schofield, for a creative writing workshop.

 

About the workshop

This creative writing workshop will be fun, informal and relaxed. We’ll use the theme ‘Memory’ to structure our thinking and writing. All are welcome, whether you are very new to the idea of creative writing, or have been writing for a long time. Whether your interest lies in poetry, fiction, non-fiction or script, or you simply want to experiment with words. Writer and workshop leader Sarah Schofield, warmly welcomes you!

 

About the Tutor

Sarah Schofield’s prizes include the Writers Inc Short Story Competition and the Calderdale Short Story Competition. She was shortlisted for the Bridport Prize in 2010 and was runner up in The Guardian Travel Writing Competition, and currently teaches Creative Writing at Edge Hill University. Her stories have appeared in several Comma’s anthologies: Lemistry, Bio-Punk, Beta-Life, Spindles, and Thought X. She is currently working on her first collection.
