About the event

We are delighted to be announcing a special online SHORT STORY WRITING course led by the wonderful SJ Bradley.

About the course

Over the course of 12 weeks we'll explore the mechanics of short story writing through a craft and techniques approach, following a reading list that takes in classics, the modern greats, magic realism, and recent urban weird.

Together with your course-mates you'll read and discuss set texts, then apply the techniques you've learned to creating your own pieces of work. We'll look at elements of style, genre, form, ways of creating and writing about character, and the importance of setting, symbolism, and narrative.

At the end of the course everyone will produce a final short story which will be published in a comma press ebook.

PLEASE NOTE Classes are capped at 15 places to ensure a high-quality experience.

£150.00 per ticket (+Booking Fees) which covers 6x sessions over 3 months including detailed feedback and end of course publication in a short story e-book anthology.

Half price Bursaries available – simply email Isabelle Kenyon at
