Explore this historic Manchester building and enjoy a day of Talks, Tales and Tours, at Victoria Baths' very first Weekend of Words. 

Doors open at 11am!

Indie Publisher Book Fair featuring NW-based publishers including Confingo, Dodo, Gordian, Longbarrow, Nightjar and Route.

Alos happening on the day:

11.30am Jonathan Swinton talks about his new book, Alan Turing's Manchester

11.30 & 2.00pm Round the Twist Kids Storytelling

11.30am & hourly - writers reading each other's work, hosted by Mike and Eli from The Other Manchester

12.00pm onwards Guided Building Tours (bookable in advance)

1.00pm Yvonne Battle-Fenton and Naomi Krugerread from their books Remembered and May and talk all things publishing

1.00pm & 2.30pm The Gallery Choir performing

2.00pm Stories at Victoria Baths, with writers reading their true-life tales (or share yours?), hosted by Yvonne and Naomi, regular hosts of Stories at the Storey in Lancaster

2.00pm Victorian Women in Bed, a series of four short plays by Janet Goddard, performed in the Females Pool - tickets are £8 including entry to the whole of Sunday's event (see Links below for ticketing link)

Pop-up Readings by Altrincham Girls Grammar School drama students and Maggie's Centre Creatives

Weekend of Words kicks off with a concert on Friday evening, workshops and poetry panel on Saturdayand a performance event on Saturday evening (ticketholders for all these are entitled to free entry to Sunday's event)
