Comma team members longlisted for Trailblazer Awards

Two members of Comma's staff, Engagement Manager Becca Parkinson, and Publicity & Outreach Officer Zoe Turner, have been longlisted for the London Book Fair Trailblazer Awards 2020.

Unveiled today, the longlist celebrates 31 publishing professionals under the age of 30 who are demonstrating innovation, creativity and ambition in the book industry.

The Award is in its fifth year, and is organised by London Book Fair in partnership with the Publishers Association, with support from BookBrunch and the Society of Young Publishers.

Becca has worked at Comma since 2016, as an intern after completing her undergraduate degree, and quickly became a permanent part of the team. As Engagement Manager she looks after Comma's events and courses, social media, sales and production. She has also sat on the SYP North committee for 2 years (2017-2019), received a Print Futures Award in 2018 and was longlisted for a Trailblazer Award in 2019.

Zoe joined Comma in 2018 and looks after Comma's publicity, social media and outreach, including our annual National Creative Writing Industry Day and other smaller conferences, and recently co-edited The Book of Newcastle with Angela Readman. She also heads up Verbose, a spoken word night in Manchester, and received a Print Futures Award in 2019.
