At a time when destitution and racist attacks on former detainees have increased, and self-harm and suicide attempts have increased in detention, we hope you will walk with us in solidarity with refugees and detainees.
Tales being shared this year include: The Soldier’s Tale, The Mother’s Tale, The Walker’s Tale, The Student’s Tale, and writers working with us include Neel Mukherjee, Ian Duhig, Will Self, Marina Warner and Vahni Capildeo. The walk is along the Thames Path and evening performances take place in : Walton on Thames, Kingston, Brentford, Hammersmith and Westminster.

Comma had the pleasure of publishing the accompanying book for last year's walk, and will do the same this year. All profits from the sales of the book go towards go to the Gatwick Detainee Welfare Group and Kent Help for Refugees.

You can buy a copy of Refugee Tales from our website, featuring stories from Ali Smith (Patron of Refugee Tales), Marina Lewycka, Dragan Todorovic and many more.
