The Comma Press Podcast returns for second series

Comma are delighted to announce the return of its digital project, The Comma Press Podcast, a podcast created to allow greater and deeper discussion into the stories we publish. It is our hope that through this podcast, our readers will get a sense of how each story in question came to be – what influenced the writers, and the wider context that drives the themes, symbols and characterization of their tales.

Series Two focuses on Futures – future-set fiction, including sci-fi, speculative fiction and future-looking literary fiction. Episodes feature authors, translators, editors and academics in conversation about the influence of genre, and how science-fiction and writing about the future can and has changed and expanded horizons for readers and writers.

Episode #1 of the new series was released today, with the rest of the episodes dropping monthly. In this opening episode, Comma Publisher Ra Page is in conversation with esteemed sci-fi writer Adam Roberts, the University of York's Amanda Rees who is currently researching the history of the future, and MMU's own Amy Chambers, who specialises in film and visual culture.
The series schedule is as follows:

EPISODE #1 The History of the Future

EPISODE #2 Iraq +100: Stories from a century after the invasion

EPISODE #3 Palestine +100: Stories from a century after the Nakba
