Auður Jónsdóttir (b. 1973) is a writer and freelance journalist. She writes novels, short stories, non-fiction and books for children and teenagers, among them a book about her grandfather, the Nobel laureate Halldór Laxness. Jónsdóttir has won the Icelandic Literary Prize, the Icelandic Women’s Literature Prize and twice been nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize.
