Haifa Zangana

Haifa Zangana is an Iraqi writer, scholar, artist and activist. She is the author of numerous books, including Dreaming of Baghdad (2009) and City of Widows: an Iraqi Woman’s Account of War and Resistance (2007). She recently edited Party for Thaera; Palestinian Women Writing Life (2017). Haifa currently works with Tunisian women ex-political prisoners within the transitional justice process and she is a weekly columnist for Al Quds Al Arabi.
