Kristín Eiríksdóttir
Kristín Eiríksdóttir (b. 1981) is an award-winning novelist, short story writer, translator, poet, and playwright. Her novel A Fist or a Heart was nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize and won the Icelandic Literary Prize as well as the Icelandic Women’s Literature Prize. The book was selected as one of the 2019 Best World Literature, by Library Journal and her short fiction has appeared in Best European Fiction 2011. Her work has been translated into six languages. Alongside writing, Eiríksdóttir is a visual artist and has participated in group exhibitions and shows. She frequently merges visual art and poetry in her works.
