Join award-winning writer Jane Rogers in Brackley for the local launch of her new collection: Fire Ready.
About the Author
Jane Rogers, FRSL, writes novels, stories, and radio drama. Her first collection of stories was shortlisted for the Edgehill Award, and the title story was a BBC National short story competition finalist. She has set books in the present (Island), the past (Mr Wroe’s Virgins) and the future. The Testament of Jessie Lamb won the Arthur C Clarke Award, and was Man-Booker longlisted. Her most recent novel is Body Tourists, set in 2045. Her Classic Serial adaptation of Anita Desai’s ‘Clear Light of Day’ will broadcast on Radio 4 in August 2024. She has taught writing at all levels, and is Emerita Professor of Writing at Sheffield Hallam University.
