Comma Press teams up with Northern Short Story Festival for 2020 Dinesh Prize

We're delighted to announce the Dinesh Allirajah Prize for Short Fiction is OPEN for submissions on the theme of 'Artificial Intelligence'.

Please submit your story on 'AI' of between 2000-6000 words to before 25th October 2019 to be in with a chance of winning £500 and publication in Northern Soul! All of the shortlisted stories selected by UCLan students will be published in an eBook by Comma and showcased a a very special event as part of the 2020 Northern Short Story Festival for the first time. 

Now in its third year, the prize is open to writers from all backgrounds, published and unpublished, as we aim to platform the best of short story writing in the UK in honour of the late Dinesh Allirajah, Comma Press director and UCLan lecturer. 

Our judging panel for the 2020 Prize includes: acclaimed short story writer Martyn Bedford; Northern Soul Literary Editor Emma Yates-Badley, UCLan lecturer Robert Duggan and Julie Fergusson from The North Literary Agency.
