In February 2024, acclaimed Palestinian-American author Susan Abulhawa visited the Gaza Strip in the middle of an on-going genocide. Risking her own life she hosted seven creative writing workshops for displaced Palestinians, encouraging them to write their own testimonies.
Adjacent to this work, Comma Press worked through the year to encourage writers in Gaza it was in touch with to tell their stories.
The result of these two projects is a body of testimonies like no other.
