All Write Up North: A Sense of Place Creative Writing Workshop
About the event
Join the All Write Up North Festival at this fun and relaxed creative writing and storytelling workshop. Do you have memories of a fondly recalled street, village or town - perhaps in and around Wigan, or further afield? Are there places you go that calm, inspire or invigorate you? Through words, written and spoken, we will see how the places we know and even those we simply imagine can hold stories. Everyone is welcome!
About the Workshop Leader
Sarah Schofield is an award-winning writer of short fiction. Her stories have appeared in several Comma Press anthologies, Best British Short Stories 2020 (Salt), Synaesthesia Magazine, Morning Star, Woman’s Weekly, Hinterland and many others. Sarah is a Creative Writing lecturer at Edge Hill University. Her debut collection Safely Gathered In was published by Comma Press in November 2021.
