History-into-Fiction

The short story is perfectly suited to telling people's history; it lends itself to the point of view of the underdog, the outsider, those at the peripheries. This series invites authors and experts (historians, journalists, activists) to collaborate on short stories inspired by historical events; moments of protest, resistance and oppression. Each story is consulted on by an expert, checked for historical verisimilitude, and then accompanied by explanatory afterwords, to expand on the context in which the story took place.
